Do you feel like you run into slumps every season?
Do you get stressed out sometimes over the course of all those intense games, practices, workouts, meetings?
Not to mention all of the other aspects of life like family, friends, school, work, and hobbies (if you can find time for them).
It’s safe to say that if you play high level hockey, or any hockey for that matter it can be stressful.
Stress is something that is inevitable.
Everyone has to deal with stress
What separates players is HOW they deal with it.
But do you have an effective system to deal with this stress when everything in your life is moving crazy fast?
If you do, and it works 100/100 then that’s amazing, you are all set.
If you're not at 100/100 then you want to read on.
Here's what most people's strategy is for dealing with this midseason stress:
‘I’ll just deal with the stress as it comes’
I’ve said this many times, and trust me when I say this, it doesn't work.
Each time I reach this point I usually hit a slump, and every time I hit a slump I wished I had prepared better.
One of my favourite quotes is: ‘Failing to prepare is failing to prepare’
This is something detrimental for you to realize:
WHEN YOU FEEL THE STRESS, IT’S TOO LATE TO PREPARE YOURSELF FOR DEALING WITH THE STRESS.
Don’t let yourself fall victim to lack of preparation.
Let me give you the system that I have made for myself to prepare for the rigours of the hockey season and everything that comes with it.
Let’s be fully battle-ready for next season!
